A war zone

The cutest addition to the duplex is a litter of kittens thanks to a stray, resting on some insulation in the corner of the bathroom. There are three, two are black and one is brown. Very cute, very tiny, and very in the way.

It turns out the kitchen floor had numerous layers of flooring, not including the layers of carpet that topped that. I forget the number, but it was upwards of 6 or 7 layers of vinyl. There's also a water damaged spot which is now a huge hole in the floor, where you can see straight into the crawlspace. It was actually pretty cool, you could see the original brick foundation. But, camera was dead.

There is now a hole in the wall diving the bedroom and kitchen, where a small breakfast nook/bar will go.
